Booking Last Mintute
Let's face it, the rain is awful and if its really getting you downand you are tempted now to book a last minute deal, where do you go for a cheapie? Well my top tips are if you're booking a package holiday, you're quids in!
Put simply, travel companies put a package holiday together, the travel agent sells it to the public, but all are up for a bit of haggling, ok go to teletext website or on the telly, find the holiday you want, ring up the company and find out how much it is penny for penny. Then go to another travel agent and ask them for the same holiday exactly and see if they can do a better price than xxx you just called! And so on and so on until you get a rock bottom price!
Save yourself loads of dosh by getting year round holiday insurance or check its not included in your bank account perks. Travel agents charge a fortune for holiday insurance, so check before you sign and happy holidays!
Agood website for putting your own holiday together is expedia.com its excellent for keeping the price down, I have just booked for myself in August; I'm off to Canada for a week to visit a friend.
Holiday packing tips:
Ok here is a quick one. I'm a bit of an expert packer, so my only advice is to only take an item of clothing if it goes with at least two other things in your suitcase and if you are away for two weeks then only pack for one, believe me you don't need 14 different outfits! Another helpful thing is use tissue to wrap your best clothes in, they won't crease, honestly it works!
