The 37 year old finished his distinguished career earlier this year unbeaten after dominating at 2 different weights.

"The Boys are Back in Town" takes centre stage at the Newport Centre and marks the comeback for Gavin Rees and Bradley Pryce.

The pair were part of 'Team Calzaghe' during the glory days when the stable had 4 World Champions and Pryce's Commonwealth title in their pocession.

But the last 18 months have seen the gym fall on hard times. Enzo Maccarinelli lost to David Haye and left to train elsewhere to try abnd revive his career, Joe retired as did Gary Lockett, Nathan Cleverly left to train elsewhere while Rees and Pryce were also both beaten as their careers went off the rails.

But now Rees and Pryce are optimistic about reclaiming their former glories under the guidance of both Joe and Enzo Calzaghe.

Rees takes on Gary Reid in his first fight for 18 months and Pryce goes up against Michael Monaghan.
