Friday's award went to Mrs Meryl Gittings of Ty SignPrimary School.

Mrs Gittings has been described as the foundations of the school for over 20 years. She is the backbone of the school choir, who have not only appeared in St David's Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, but also recently performed before the Prince of Wales. The pupils of the school past and present as well as members of staff think so much of Mrs Gittings and she will be deeply missed when she retires at the end of term.
Thursday 17 July
Mrs Marged Tomos from Ysgol Gymunedol Y Plant Bach Aberteifi.
Mrs Tomos has proved to be inspirational to Amber James who nominated her. Amber said of Mrs Tomos: "Marged Tomos is my favourite teacher because she was my very first teacher when I was four-years-old, she was encouraging and supportive in my first years of school. I have gone back every year, at Christmas, to give Mrs Tomos a card and each year I receive one back... and Mrs Tomos gave me a present."

Amber is now in the later stages of her education and Mrs Tomos is once again key in her schooling and chosen career. Amber continued: "Even though I have just finished my GCSE's Mrs Tomos is still there to support me. I now help out in her class in my free time and it's because of her that I have decided I would like to become an infant school teacher."
