On-Screen Romance

Real Radio Wales' very own producer Rich has got a lot to keep up with this Valentine's Day because over Christmas his brother-in-law, Dan Ferguson pulled out all the stops to propose to his girlfriend in a very special way.
When Caroline Thomas, 28, sat down with her boyfriend, Dan, 30, to watch a DVD, she thought he was putting on her favourite romantic flick, Love Actually.
But what appeared on screen was Dan wearing a series of colourful T-shirts, he peeled them off one-by-one to reveal each one was emblazoned with a lovely message.
The first T-shirt said "Cazzy, I just wanted to say", followed another reading "You mean the world to me" and then "You are so AMAZING".
It didn't stop there, the next lot of shirts read "I am so lucky to have you", "Happy anniversary",
"I love you so much" and "You make me so happy."

How romantic...but then IT consultant Dan disappeared into the kitchen, took off his jumper and dashed back in with a new T-shirt reading "'Will you marry me?".
Mortgage advisor Caroline, grabbed a pen to write "Yes!" underneath the T-shirt proposal.
He said: "She was totally confused when I put the DVD on at first as she thought we were just watching a film.
"We love the film Love Actually where the guy told Keira Knightley he loved her through holding up words on a series of cards.
"So I decided I could do my own version to tell Caroline how much I love her and want her to be my wife.
"I took one t-shirt off at a time until I revealed T-shirt in person.
"I must admit I was so nervous that she might turn me down. But she cried and said yes about fifty times. She has made me so happy."
The loved-up pair live together St Fagans, Cardiff and are now planning to wed next year.
They used to go out when they were 18 but their romance soon fizzled out, however when the pair met up again two years ago at a Grease-themed party night and it was love at second sight.
Dan said: "Caroline is an amazing woman and I love her so much.
"I wanted my proposal to be quirky and original. But I'm not always like this - she's always telling me I'm not romantic enough."
"Now she just wants to watch the DVD over and over again. I just can't wait for her to be my wife.
Producer Rich helped Dan make the three-minute DVD of the proposal.
Caroline said: "It was our second anniversary of getting back together and I just thought Dan was putting on a normal film.
"Then this picture of a rose came up on the screen with my name. I was amazed at the effort he put into proposing.
"I am such a lucky girl - he is wonderful and I love him so much. I have to say that there is nothing better than love actually."
