Nicole Scherzy for X Factor axe?

Nicole Scherzinger

Is Nicole Scherzinger set to be the first casualty of poor X Factor viewing figures?

The last episode pulled in the lowest figures since 2006 and the show is down 3 million viewers from this time last year.

Speaking to The Sun, a source says that producers are willing to do whatever it takes and may be changing the judging line-up before the live shows even start!

Mel B is already being line up to replace Scherzy and the excuses for poor form are already being rolled out:

"It maybe airs a little early and people struggle when they might be on holiday or enjoying the sunshine at home.

"The guest judges just don't work. It's great for audiences who are watching live but it doesn't translate well on the telly.

"People get confused as the lineup's always changing from song to song."

Watch a video of Mel B's guest judging below.

Are you a fan of this year's show?  Will you be watching Strictly Come Dancing instead?

I haven't watched any x factor this year until watching this clip but if Mel B was a permanent judge I would watch, she's straight talking, doesn't beat about the bush and brutally honest regardless of what the audience say! Great telly just what it needs, also I used to play with her as a kid in Leeds and wessies have to stick together!

Does anyone know how the figures for viewing are actually calculated?

Does it take into account Sky Plus viewers for example?

The actual air time isnt ideal so I record it and watch in Plus.
